On the dates of 03 November 2005 and 12 May 2011, ‘Forest of Global Understanding’ Gaia planted many trees in Berlin as the truest sense of the word “living symbol”.
together with ambassadors within the scope of the Project for”the Forest of Cultural Diplomacy”
The activities of the environmental Project “Gaia” at the Brandenburg Tor and Schillerpark point out the dangers our world is facing. Every year, we lose 13 million hectares of rainforest in the world.
In Berlin, the number of chopped trees exceeds that of planted trees each year. The quality of life is enhanced in the region with the steps taken. As an environmental organisation, we make efforts for the greening of Berlin since 2002.
We have planted more than 300 street trees in Berlin by numerous actions performed by Federal Environment Minister Norbert Röttgen, former Federal President of the Assembly Wolfgang Thierseve, mayor Klaus Wowereit and ambassadors and envoys from 33 countries and thus we have contributed to remove the carbon dioxide (CO2) discharge of 2,5 tonnes per year.

Tammy Murphy, die Ehefrau des Botschafters der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, der indonesische Botschafter H.E. Eddy Pratomo, Botschaft des Fürstentums Liechtenstein S.E. Prinz Stefan von und zu Liechtenstein, der Botschafter Costa Ricas José Joaquín Chaverri Sievert Anwesend waren die Botschafter von Australien, Bulgarien, Jamaika, Kasachstan, Madagaskar, Tadschikistan, Thailand sowie Vertreter von Brasilien, Griechenland, Honduras, Kroatien, Norwegen, Pakistan, Polen, Rumänien, Serbien und Montenegro, Slowenien und den USA und Türkei etc…
