Berlin Friedrichsstrasse is one of the most prestigeus street of the „new“ berlin. It and has no trees along the street at all, even though their green would not only make it more attractive to berliners and visitors, but would also reduce dust and heat in the summer. GAIA plans to put up 99 japanese cherrytrees in tubs under the support of local stores and firms. This could be a sign for more green in the city and the appeal, to plant trees, even with private resources.
